Workshops
Wellness Center workshops are available in-person and by Zoom except where indicated otherwise. Please note Zoom registration closes two (2) hours before workshops begin. Zoom access details are sent prior to the workshop, but no later than 30 minutes before the workshop. Register in-person or use our online credit card links below. If you prefer to pay in-person, please email with the subject line “Pre-Register” so we can set-up appropriately. On-site registration begins 30 minutes before the workshop; we accept cash, check, or credit card payment. All workshops begin promptly at 10:00 a.m.
Please note: We require a minimum of five (5) registrations for workshops to be offered. If this minimum is not met by 5:00 p.m. on the Friday prior to the Saturday workshop, UHWC reserves the right to cancel any workshop and will issue a refund or workshop credit for use at a future date at the registrant’s request.

Share the Challenges and Victories of Caregiving
Offered on Zoom only.

This FREE group meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 4:00 p.m. each month on Zoom with the intention of creating a space where caregivers can share the challenges and victories that come with this special role. We will explore ways to find joy in each day and build a deeper sense of community. We will combine group conversations with periodic visits from local experts in areas that support your caregiving role.
This support group will be facilitated by experienced spousal caregivers, Pat Anderson and Rachel Fitch. Pat is a retired counselor and a licensed Unity Teacher. Rachel is an executive coach with a long career leading organizational professional development.
We hope you will join us if you are a caregiver or if you would like to better understand how to support a loved one who is a caregiver. All shared experiences will be kept confidential.

Learn How to Balance Your Energy for Optimum Wellness
Offered in-person and on Zoom.
Wellness is a balanced channeling of energy. Since we are all energy transformers, all of our life processes, including healing and wellness, depend on how we manage energy. In this workshop, we will explore three of the major sources of energy input that are a part of creating balanced energy:

Oxygen (Breathing)

Food (Food) Food as information; the power to heal or harm the immune system, often referred to as Immune System Basics

Sensory Stimulation (Sensing), such as physical touch, heat, light, sound, and other forms of electromagnetic radiation
This empowering workshop will be offered in-person and virtually on Zoom. Please join us in this fun-filled exploration as Clara takes a deep dive into the concept of wellness... what it is and what it is not!
VibeUp Gentle Yoga-Meditation-Sound Bath

Relax and Recharge
In this integrative self-care journey, we'll begin with gentle yoga and then move into guided meditation and a healing sound bath. Or you can come only for the meditation and sound healing experience. This workshop will help you relax your body, calm your mind, clear stuck energy, and activate your body's natural healing systems.
Please bring your yoga mat and water. You may also want to bring blocks and a strap if you're doing yoga, and for the sound bath a blanket, pillow, eye covering and anything else you need to feel comfortable. Limited extra props will be available. This is an in-person event only, no Zoom. ​

Gain Momentum with Your Goals
Offered via Zoom or Teams only.
Volunteers needed to receive FREE Health and Wellbeing Coaching from a graduate student of Northwestern Health Sciences University.
