Introduction to Qigong

Saturday, January 10, 2026

10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon

Presenter: Michele Fazio

Harness the Power of Qigong for a Healthier Life

Offered in-person only.

If you’re looking for a gentle, accessible practice that incorporates movement, breath, and meditation then try Qigong. This workshop will introduce participants to this transformative practice—one that reduces stress, increases energy, and restores balance between the body and emotions. Qigong movements mirror those of nature so we will flow like water and the wind to create more spaciousness and vitality in the body.  Join us and experience the healing power of Qigong for your mind, body and spirit!

About Our Practitioner:

Michele has completed the Tier 1 Teacher Certification Training Program in the Holden QiGong School and the Skill in Action 200-hour Yoga Immersion Program.  Her practical approach to teaching is rooted in self-reflection and community engagement. As a practitioner of qigong, she builds on this foundation to create an inclusive learning environment – one that promotes healing and transformation.  She has taught in various settings (higher education, physical therapy clinics, and advanced elder care) to deepen an understanding of how breath, movement, and meditation awaken and restore balance and vitality in the body and mind.

Gain a Deeper Understanding of the Internal Aspects of Tai Chi

Offered in-person only.

Join us for a very special event, a virtual workshop with Hubert Gagnon of Comme Les Nuages Tai Chi in Montreal. Hubert began learning Tai Chi at age 22 and now has nearly 50 years of experience practicing and teaching Taoist internal arts around the world. This workshop is intended for current and past students of Moy Lin Shin style Tai Chi.

Hubert will focus on foundation exercises and the first 17 moves of the set and is appropriate for students of all levels.  We will gather in person with Hubert on Zoom, so he will be able to see us all and personalize the workshop to our needs.

Special Note: This workshop is a fundraiser to help with costs to bring Hubert here to lead an in-person workshop in the fall!  Come take part in this rare opportunity to participate with an instructor of this caliber.  We expect it to fill up fast, so register early. This FREE group meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 4:00 p.m. each month on Zoom with the intention of creating a space where caregivers can share the challenges and victories that come with this special role. We will explore ways to find joy in each day and build a deeper sense of community. We will combine group conversations with periodic visits from local experts in areas that support your caregiving role.

This support group will be facilitated by experienced spousal caregivers, Pat Anderson and Rachel Fitch.  Pat is a retired counselor and a licensed Unity Teacher.  Rachel is an executive coach with a long career leading organizational professional development.

We hope you will join us if you are a caregiver or if you would like to better understand how to support a loved one who is a caregiver. All shared experiences will be kept confidential.
