Gain a Deeper Understanding of the Internal Aspects of Tai Chi

Offered in-person only.

Join us for a very special event, a virtual workshop presented by Connection Tai Chi with Hubert Gagnon of Comme Les Nuages Tai Chi in Montreal. Hubert began learning Tai Chi at age 22 and now has nearly 50 years of experience practicing and teaching Taoist internal arts around the world. This workshop is intended for current and past students of Moy Lin Shin style Tai Chi.

Hubert will focus on foundation exercises and the first 17 moves of the set and is appropriate for students of all levels.  We will gather in person with Hubert on Zoom, so he will be able to see us all and personalize the session to our needs.  This is an independent workshop, and no previous workshop experience is required.

Special Note: This workshop is a fundraiser to help with costs to bring Hubert here to lead an in-person workshop in the fall!  Come take part in this rare opportunity to participate with an instructor of this caliber.  We expect it to fill up fast, so register early. For this workshop, there is no credit or refund if you don't attend.

Bridging Science and Spirit: A Whole-Person Approach to Healing and Transformation

Saturday, March 14th; 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon

Presenters:

Dr. JP Pizzino, MD, MPH — Functional and Integrative Medicine Physician

Dr. Ronen Goddard, PhD, CCEP — Integral Psychologist and Somatic Energy Practitioner

Discover a Rare Synthesis of Western Medicine and Embodied Spirituality

Offered in-person and via Zoom.

Modern medicine and modern psychology both recognize that the body, mind, and spirit are deeply intertwined—but few experiences truly integrate them. In this 2-hour experiential workshop, Dr. Pizzino and Dr. Goddard invite participants into a dynamic exploration of how functional medicine and somatic energy psychology together unlock the body’s innate capacity for transformation.

Through short teachings, guided movement, breathwork, and small-group reflection, participants will learn:

  • How the physical, emotional, and energetic systems mirror one another in both illness and healing

  • Simple tools for regulating the nervous system and restoring flow to the body’s natural intelligence

  • Ways to move beyond “symptom management” into authentic self-empowerment and conscious participation in one’s own healing process

This workshop is grounded in lived experience and scientific insight, offering a rare synthesis of Western medicine and embodied spirituality. Participants will leave with practical tools, renewed vitality, and a clearer sense of their own healing potential.

Format: 2 hours — includes short presentations, experiential practice, and interactive discussion. This workshop is offered both in-person and via Zoom.

Bloom Without the Gloom: Herbal Allies for Spring Allergies

Saturday - March 28th, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon

Presenter: LeAnna Cargman, Evolutionary Astrologer and Certified Herbalist

Discover Simple Practices to Manage Spring Allergies

Offered in-person only.

Spring arrives with blooming trees, fresh growth, and for many of us -- a cascade of sneezes, itchy eyes, and that familiar foggy feeling. But why do some people sail through pollen season while others suffer? And more importantly, what can we do about it?

In this hands-on workshop, we'll explore the fascinating "why" behind seasonal allergies—what's actually happening in your body when you react to pollen, and why your immune system might be a bit overzealous come springtime. Then we'll dive into practical, time-tested strategies to help you thrive during allergy season.

You’ll learn:

  • Simple daily practices like neti pots and herbal steams to clear congestion

  • Immune-supportive teas and herbs to strengthen your resilience before symptoms start

  • Why prevention matters more than reaction when it comes to seasonal allergies

  • How to build your personal spring wellness toolkit

All participants will leave with recipes, techniques, a personalized tea and the confidence to greet spring with open arms (and clear sinuses). No tissues required.  This workshop is offered in person only, no Zoom.

“To love a person is to see all of their magic, and to remind them of it when they have forgotten.” – Anonymous

This FREE group meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 4:00 p.m. each month on Zoom with the intention of creating a space where caregivers can share the challenges and victories that come with this special role. We will explore ways to find joy in each day and build a deeper sense of community. We will combine group conversations with periodic visits from local experts in areas that support your caregiving role.

This support group will be facilitated by experienced spousal caregivers, Pat Anderson and Rachel Fitch.  Pat is a retired counselor and a licensed Unity Teacher.  Rachel is an executive coach with a long career leading organizational professional development.

We hope you will join us if you are a caregiver or if you would like to better understand how to support a loved one who is a caregiver. All shared experiences will be kept confidential.

Please contact Rachel through our Contact Form if you have any questions.
